I've been looking around and have seen mentioned fix for Messiah 2 that forces the PS2 to output all games in either pal or ntsc. I've got a PAL PS2 and a PAL TV. My TV doesn't handle NTSC too well and from the sound of it this fix would be ideal. Has anyone tried the fix? Does it work properly or can it mess up the display in some way?

    Thanks in advance

This fix works fine. But your TV will still need to support 60hz for NTSC games. This colour fix isn't actually related to Messiah, It works on unmodded consoles.

Thanks for the info. My PS2 can handle 60Hz fine. My PS2 is still at the chippers so I'll see if they can do it while it is there.

I'll try and get it done free but if not I am willing to pay for it, depending on the price obviously.

most installers i know automaticly do it free if they charge you for it it shouldnt be more than $1 and thats being generous
I thought saving 15% on my car insurance was good but having my ps2 modded by N£TM£ÇH was way better!

The problem is that I think that the chip may have already been fitted so it would mean them taking the console apart again.

Well I phoned them and they dont do the colour fix. I'm going to try one of those external NTSC to PAL boxes.

They don't do the colour fix...it's only one wire.

    Solution:
You said earlier your PS2 supports 60hz, I'm presuming you meant your TV so use an RGB scart lead. Your TV won't need to support the NTSC colour carrier for this, just 60hz. Avoid the PAL60hz converter as it restricts you to composite video.
