I was wondering that if i switch the ps2 on (and supposing there are some bridged pins), will the ps2 fail to work completely, or will only certain attributes of the chip work (like it will only play cd backups etc.)?
Also, how high can the wires that go to the chip be above the ps2 mobo, and if they get a bit squashed when i replace the cover will it matter? And are there any alternative places that i can put the chip besides the large space to the far right of the mobo, cause i'm running of of wires.....
Another thing, i have a no-gap v.4 UK PAL ps2, and a messiah 2 1.22a PRO chip. I've that there are two power points, 3.3v and 3.5v, which one do i solder to, because on the diagram i have, it says solder to the 3.3v point. Then i read elsewhere that the power and ground points shouldn't be longer than 2 inches, but then the 3.3v wire would be too long (or do i attach both?). Also, which point is best to solder to, the big, square-shaped ground point, or the alternate point on the other side of the board?
