Messiah 1 and internet ?

Is it possible to go on the internet with a ps2 with messiah 1 using a backup game?

It depends what game you wanna go on, Most game has a DNA on it so with a backup it's a no go, but midnight club 2, twisted metal black etc you can go on.......
