MDS3 only booting PSX...
Hi. First post :)
Anyway I have a huge problem.
I have bought a PS2 With these specs:
D 221 060S48
B 20 080
I figured that this must be a v7 board or ?
Any how, I also bought a MDS3 chip , green with alcatel 0250.
Ok now to the problem. I have solderd the MDS3 with nice fat cables for + n - and used thincables for the others and I cannot get PS2 games to boot. DVD or CDR. I know they work and also cdr disks are READ when using the PSX mode.
I have tested it with 2 different DMS3 chip and with the same result.
Any one knows whats the problem is here?
u mean dms3. Umm look at your install also are u sure it's a v7 check your bios. Were both chips u tested green or blue
Sorry . DMS3 ofcource .
Yes both where green and I have posted the bios code.
How can I check wheter it is a v7 then.. I have searched this forum and not found a good thred about it.
whoops didn't look at your post clearly yes it is a v7. Umm does it boot psx backups in psx mode?
Yes, psx backups in psx mode.
most likly it's a isntall prob please check your installation
ok any hints on where I should look ? ?
i'd check all of them except for abcx cause u have those right i'd check all bios points and points on the back
Assuming the DMS3 detects which version PS2 its installed by the bios wires (like the messiah2) your bios wires will be fine as its booting PS1 backups meaning its been able to detect the version & region of your PS2. So I'd say check the cd/dvd wires first.
true true but it really sounds liek a installationg prob
