Matrix In, V4 Problem

OK, im outta ideas. I have a version 4 and a MI chip. I have install this thing 3 times now, the newest of which is perfect. I have tested every point, voltage, ground, everything. What happens is, I get the chip installed. Boots fine, but I can't boot backups. I also understand you should see a Matrix logo or splash somewhere, I don't. If I don't have a controller in port 1, it waits 15 sec like its suppose to. If there is a controller, it boots up right away. That seems to tell me that the chip is working. Also, none of the shortcuts are working, ie. quick boot, config, or forceing of anything. Again orginals boot fine, but its acting like its unmodded. Have tried just about everything I can think of. All of the wires are short and not crossing any chips, the power and ground are thick. Anyone with any help would be great. Thanks

ok, I guess, "flashed with 1.36" means your gonna have to reflash it when you get it or something. Turns out this was a homebrew MI or something and I had to flash it before it would work.
