As long as the version of the Gameshark/Action Reply you have is compatible with the PS2 you own, the MXL2 will be compatible with it.
(I am talking about PAL MXL2. The USA one should not be different.)

Ok here is another question i am trying to Play MVP baseball 2004 online with the orginal game I have the Matrix MXL 2 and everything else works perfect but as soon as i try to go online the game freeze on the DNAS screen can anyone help
This means that the DNAS has detected a modchip installed in your PS2.
In order to bypass this you need to turn the modchip off or put it in the sleep mode if this chip has that function. Basically the "sleep" mode is off mode.
yeah i know but I thought the the Matrix chip switch off itself after boot. Does anyone know how to put it in STEALTH-Mode so i can go online
On the martix web site it says that the chip
STEALTH-Mode (The Modchip can be switched off and becomes invisible
Sleep-Mode (The Modchip will switch off itself after boot)
So i was wonder has anyone been able to play a game online with this chip
hold down the power button for 6 or 7 secs on boot
Thanks for you help LAW. now off to get my A$$ kick online![]()
If that doesn't work power up the PS2, put the game in, turn the ps2 off to standby the hold power button in for 7-10 sec. That should work.

Stealth Mode and Sleep Mode are two different features, and, in my opinion, every modchip should have them.Originally posted by Qbfinest83
STEALTH-Mode (The Modchip can be switched off and becomes invisible
Sleep-Mode (The Modchip will switch off itself after boot)
STEALTH MODE = Possibility to turn off the modchip before any operation is executed on the PS2. Meaning that the PS2 behaves like if NO MODCHIP is installed.
Meaning you can use on-line services with your Original Games.
SLEEP MODE = The modchip turn off after it completes the boot of the back-up. Meaning that the Modchip will not overheath.
I personally do not instally any modchip that does not have both of them.
