Matrix infinty and V4 problem
Matrix infinty and V4 problem –
12-12-2004,07:44 PM
After installing a new matrix infinty chip in my V4 PS2. I noticed a delay in boot up, and I know its suppose to do that when number 1 controller isnt plugged in. But I do have it plugged in. After the delay it will boot to browser screen and even recognize the disc. During the process of loading the game backup/original disc I can play a game when plugged into slot 2. Also I swapped the whole controller port from my other ps2 and the same thing happens. But when I plug the controller in slot 2 the controller works, and the chip doesnt look for the controller in port 2 during boot up. In saying all that, can anyone shed some light on my issue?
Could the suspect be A bad Chip?
Like I said its V4 35001 with Matrix infinity inatslled

A picture of your installation could be helpful. Maybe we can spot out a problem if picture is good enough. I'm guessing you soldered something, somewhere incorrectly.
