Matrix Infinity v10 problem even after removal

Hi all
I have this problem with my barely used v10 PS2 with a matrix infinity modchip . I have modded several ps2 before and this is the first time with this problem but this is my first time at a v10. I also did the romeo mod. When I first modded the ps2 it didnt work, i heard the laser clicking, so I turned it off and rechecked my wires. I didnt solder the I,H,G,B,and A points on the legs properly so I resolder it and changed the gound point. Now it did work. I flashed the chip with firmware 1.38. My orginal ps2 and backup copies worked flawlessly. So I closed she up for the nite, did a final test and went to sleep. Came from school the next day turned she on, she came on. Went the the broswer screen checked my memory card and put a game to load. The ps2 frooze on the reading disc screen. Restarted the ps2 but just got a black screen. Opened she up and saw that one of the wires on the bios chip was loose. Resoldered it and turned she on. Now the ps2 will go into a screen that will display a language screen and when I press X it will take me to the time/zone configuration screen. The disc will not spin nor the red lite in the lens come on. Each time I turn it on it will go into this configuration screen. But I could disable the chip and also go into the configuration screen of the matrix chip. But when I disable the chip and load an orginal ps2 game the game will load, show the PS2 logo and then freeze on black screen. I thought it was the chip so I removed it and replaced the matrix with a Duo 2 S.E. It gave me the same problem by going straight into the same configuration screen. So I completely removed the chip and cleaned up the motherboard. Now it will load the ps2 original games but freeze on a black screen after the ps2 logo. The ps2 will load music cds. It will even freeze with a black screen on loading a dvd movie.
I thougth it was a laser problem so I removed the laser and tried it in a next v10 ps2 and the laser will work flawlessly. Lastly I noticed that when u go to the screen to check the ps2 version and driver version info by pressing triangle I am missing the line at the bottom which tells u the dvd player version.
I really need some help on this one. I really dont know what to do or try again . THANKS

dvd controller has to have a small bridge or you fried it.

What is the dvd controller small bridge u are talking about and were is it located. And can it be repaired

I have gone over the i-a pins over and over again. But should I test it with a mutimeter.

how does the cd/dvd controller get fried? too much heat? lifted leg?
damn it, i hope i didnt do what you describe. my ps2 loads up, but gives read errors, once in a blue moon itll boot, or laser will click multiple times, not spin... just act eratically.
if you get continuity between the via points and the legs, that means the legs are not lifted.
i get continuity on the 2 legs between point A & B. is that correct?

can you guys give a method of troubleshooting the cd/dvd controller?

well sounds liek the chip has been kinda lifted off the board and only conenting at certain times
