Matrix infinity Questions Plz awnser

i got some questions.. how can we find out for sure what kind of matrix infinity we have The normal one or Homebrew.. and i want to know whats the difference between matrix infinity and the homebrew one.. If you have the homebrew version.. can the chip go to sleep mode after BACKUPS boots?or can it only go to sleep mod after Homebrew boots??
also what is the difference between yellow dot infinity and blue dot?
and has anyone gotten a matrix infinity? if u did is it homebrew or original?
and one more Newby question What is homebrew mean? i looked up dictionary.com this is what they said "An alcoholic beverage, especially beer, that is made at home."

I have a Matrix Infinity and from my understanding they are all homebrew mod chips. The reason why they have homebrew is for legal reasons. Guess it is similar to the Xbox modchips. They don't come flashed with a os for the modchip. You can download the flash file for the Matrix Infinity's bios from the Matrix Infinity web site. Here. http://www.infinitymod.com/cgi-bin/m...inity_software This is the software so it can play backups. Homebrew is like the Asteroids game on the front page or somebody who develops software for the ps2, like ExeCFTP ftp program for the ps2.
