  1. #1 Matrix infinity problem : flashes ok, original dvd ok, backup = RSOD
    the12be Guest
I've modded my playstation v9 with the Matrix infinity blue dot homebrew.

flashed it with the 1.5 bios and it flashed ok.

When i boot the infinity logo shows. I can enter the config menu and so on.
When i boot an original game, i get the infinity letters under the ps2 logo.
    so far so good.

but the problem is that when i insert an backup ps2 game, i get an RSOD.
I also get an RSOD when i insert an original DVD movie?

when i press the powerbutten a few second the DVD movie boots ok.

Removed the chip once, and reinstalled it. It gave the same problem.

Anybody got an idee what could be wrong?

I experience the same thing with a V9 chiped with the modbo(infinity clone)
I tried lowering the resistance on the dvd pot of the laser. However that didnt work for my. it might work for you, check here on how to do it.

    check point I,G,B and A

when those points are not connected or incorrect connected
you have the results you experienced right now

But my flash disk did work will probably your answer ,
well thats right because only bios points and power are required to upgrade the chip no Dvd controller points needed for that part,

    Good Luck

I used the alternative points for the BGIA points. but that should work OK right?

will check those points, and if still no go, i'll try the primary points.

Yup, check that, in case it does not work dont be afraid to change with another Infinity. I've had many cases were installations were perfect but would only boot originals(with the normal firmware, not the homebrew), it used to happen last year, when the first blue dots started coming out i think. Funny thing is most of those chips that seemed not to work on v9 or v10 worked perfectly on older versions.
