    Just installed a matrix infinity into my V.9 ps2. Double checked all of the points. they all are soldered correctly but when i turn on the ps2 i get no video just a black screen. maybe this is a common problem?? let me know guys. please

    Check your ground wire. Make sure its thick and short.

    Well i actually did the alternate points on the back of the board. Now my problem has changed a bit. I took it all apart to check the points to see if any came off, put it back together and it worked. Then after walking away from it for a while it stopped working. the ground maybe?

    nah.. i would say there was difintly a short somwhere... like T07N said... probaly a soldier ball

    if it stops working after a while, chances are pretty good that there's a bad solder spot that loses contact once the machine warms up some.
