    I just got mine today, installed in a V7 US PS2, and it does not support HDD as far as I can tell. The "quick boot" is a bit different than DMS3, as the Infinity loads the Sont Computer Entertainment logo, then skips the Playstation 2 logo during boot. The DMS3 skips both. Apparently, the problem with the HDD and mod chips comes up during the first booting process. Hopefully, it's something they can fix with a patch...
