What's the difference between the 2 firmwares? I thought it was possible to load ELF files from the memory card with the normal infinity firmware? Or do you HAVE to flash it with homebrew firmware for it to work?

The homebrew firmware is kinda legal because it won't play backup-discs.
The rest is the same as far as i know.

While on the subject of HB, does anyone know if these new HB firmwares make the modchips legal in country's that the original modchips where classed as illegal ?
