Unless the matrix infitiy green is a "lite" version of the Matrix Infinity chip, then yes you should comparing it to the DMS4 PRO. Which IMHO is a better chip, espically if your PS2 has a HDD. The TOXIC OS is better then HD Advance for HDD purposes and in TOXIC OS 0.5 an intergrated FTP server is supposed to be implemented. If the cheat feature of TOXIC OS 0.4 is compatablie with more then just games from the HDD (Im having problems getting the cheat feature to work with disks) then the choice is clear. The DMS4 even has a EZI option if you dont know how to solder and dont want to fork over 150$ for an install.

You are plain stupid if you buy DMS4 Lite... buy the PRO and you'll get ToxicOS 0.4 (which make this mod much superior to Matrix)

I realised this after installing it differently 3 times and it still failed to work.
The Matrix Infinity worked first time out, so the problem was not caused by my installation skills - I've worked in electronics for over 20 years and can solder to a high standard. DMS forum seemed to be full of people with similar problems too...
For my V4, SCPH-350003 the DMS4 Lite sucked badly and I wasn't prepared to risk spending more on another chip from the same maker.

Only on the v14 do you need to upgrade the chip to green dot, other than that it's usually been an upgrade in firmware. As far as changing dvd region... never had to do that before.
