    Firmware V1.5 Released.

Released today V1.5 Firmware for the Infinity Modchip.
You can Download it from HERE .

    New Features and additions:

    - DEV2 mode
    - Option menu cosmetic changes

    Notes :
    - DEV2 mode has been implemented.
Pressing L1 on boot will launch an application directly from the HDD.
To install applications to be used as DEV2 mode, you will need to use a special Dev2Install program that
    is available HERE.
This program enables you to install any PS2 executable on your HDD and lauch it as the default DEV2 program.
This will let you play with DEV2 mode until the new HDD enabled Infinity Manager will be released.

    - Option menu color scheme was changed to offer better readability on some tv sets.

Great news. Dev 2 really helps since some people clog their mc with progs.

Well I didn't get the new Dev2Install to work. I copied it to my HD along with a test boot.elf(LaunchELF 3.41). I put them in the same directory end launched the installer:
    - First it checked for HD. I guess it went fine(no error messages)
    - Next it told me to "Press X to install boot.elf to HD"
    - I pressed X -> "ERROR. Couldn't copy boot.elf to HD"

The readme doesn't tell where the installer will copy the boot.elf. I'm guessing it's trying to copy it to the "___BOOT" directory on the HD.
I copied the boot.elf there myself and then booted the ps2 while pressing L1. That resulted a black screen. Then I stopped trying.

cyrbanen you must find ps2os.elf Ok? Then rename it as boot.elf
Last burn it via cd (you can use cdgen and fix lba 12231)

I got the same error, double checked my files but I don't know where is the error.

Maybe we need to wait for firmware 1.51...
