Matrix Infinity Firmware Upgrade Question/Problem
Matrix Infinity Firmware Upgrade Question/Problem –
I have a ps2 that will not read any disc at all. I have tried to fix it with cleaning, tuning and a new laser but to no avail. I've pretty much given up on it being that I know nothing about coils/ohms/ocillioscopes etc...
I have a Matrix Infinity but it's firmware is v1.21, I need to get this firmware updated for HD support and the config menu (v1.38). Is it possibile to use a MC to USB/PC adapter and simply copy these files over and then upgrade via my infinity manager? I assumed that max drive and AR Evo Pen Drive thing won't be good for me as I have no cd/dvd drive working. what would be the best option for me?
I have found these two products:
The top one looks better to me but I need to be able to read all of the data on my memory card so I can do whats needed.
My main goal is to have a HD in my ps2 and to boot games off it via the MC, which (hopefully) will never need the cd/dvd drive.
Sorry if my post is still well noobish, i tried to learn as much as I can but relavent info on the installation and upgrading of firmware with no use of discs was hard to find (for me).
Thanks for your time, any help/comments are appreciated!
