Matrix Infinity with DVD Region Movies

Hey guys been a while since posting here... anyway..

Just modded a V9 with the MI chip and everything functions fine, except for DVD

DVD will auto boot like normal.. but I will get a msg from the movie that it cannot be played in the machine because of different region.

So for example, I put in Region 1 dvd movie, I get region error.

Of course if i put in a region free movie it plays fine.

I dunno if it will help but if you have access to the remote DVD driver that might help...

i asked the matrix team about this and i was told that this is due to a different region check formatt and that it would be corrected soon.

Have you upgraded to the latest firmware?
@ this time the newest version is 1.31, if not you can download it HERE

Yea I tried the latest 1.31 i think it was.. now 1.35? is out.. i don't have the ps2 anymore as my cuzn took it back to his friend...

I also put in a MI in a version 7/8 for another of my cuzn's friend and that one works perfect.. I don't have this same small problem on that one.

I can have them try the latest one tho and see what happens..

I also have this problem on my V10 system with a Modbo (MI clone)

I can disable the chip and RCE protected discs then work just fine, but its just a little annoying.

My V7 system has no problems
Oh well.
