Matrix infinity and Blank Screen
Matrix infinity and Blank Screen –
03-01-2005,12:37 PM
I have A version 5 PS2 with Matrix infinity installed, and has been working since this chip had first came on the market.
Now the PS2 has no audio and no video?
So after going in and resoldering every point, still the same thing. So I tested all fuses, and they all are fine. So, I uninstalled the Matrix infinity and "BAM" works flawless.
So my question is Is this normal symptoms once these chips go bad? Cuz I never had a PS2 chip that went bad yet. Xbox, well thats a different story!

I have never seen one go bad like that. Did you try reflashing it before removing it? You would have to hold down reset for a couple of seconds to force it into flash mode. Also, could your controller port or controller be bad and the MI is not detecting it (thereby getting stuck on the black screen)?

well, I had the same problem only with a V4 and I had no video or sound. I held reset for 5 seconds, it botted up, I put in the flash cd and it flashed. Powered it off and on and it worked. Boots everything fine. Hope this helps anyone.
