    so,

i thought this would have been my best install, it was all so clean,

i'm going to get a pic up asap so you guys can tell me if i did something wrong, but bascially, i tested out a psx game, and it worked, but when i tried playing a backed up ps2 game, it would recognize the disk, i would hit X for enter and then it would go black screen, and back to the same screen saying "ps2 disk recognized" but no game loading...

    anyone know what's wrong?
am i doing something wrong, i dont 'even know if i backed upt he game properly,

i was backing up ICO, a cd-r game to another cd-r, used nero burining rom and copied cd on the fly...

    arghhh.
    frustrated

    1. Change location of MXL in board. ( i use the old location of BIOS with B,I,Y in up side
    2.Use fat wires for GND , +Vcc , Y.
    3.Bios wires DON'T crossing .

    Thats all

so you cant boot a ps2 cd-r game?
do dvd-r's work? can you get a known working backup to boot on your console?
if it shows up on the browser screen and doesnt show the rsod, doesnt that mean the chip did its job?

    correct,

i actually dont' have any dvd-r games and haven't tried that,

    hummm

i'm really not wanting to change the position of the modchip.

i thought it might have been the tops of the solder points being grounded by the metal shielding that sits over it so i put hot glue over all the solder connections,

    still same problem,

    hummmmmmmmmmmmm

alright, well tonight i'll move the chip to where you say villasg.

    i hope it works.

    will keep you updated.

    Daniel
