Mars IV Full Review !

Hi

I just installed MARS IV MA-705 modchip for V12 in 3 type of PSTwo's
70006 HK, 70004 EUROPE 70001 US

All machines wokring well with any kind of DISKS CD-R CD stamps DVD-R DVD Russian Stamps.

The chip is comming with Diode fix which is in the same package. The diode fix is especially desinged for this chip by MARS chip developers.

Only one thins which was strange for me thats the Playstaion2 logo problem.

Then you starting your console and then its booting your game and the time when Playstaion2 shoudl appear it's just scratching the logo no clear Plasystion2 logo just scratches.

All other part is working ok all games booting DVD movies ok PSoine Ok.

If somebody can explain why thats' nois sctratced logo is appearing instead of normal Playstaion2 logo?

could be noise on teh wires or the chip is jsut like that

The diode fix looks the same to meh like all the other so called fixes on pcb

It's not from the wires we are using very good kind of wires and never had this problem besides the long time ago Apple chip has this kind of scratched noise Playstaion2 .. so what you mean "or the chip is jsut like that"

lots of (clone) modchips are using a hacked japanese bios
this results in not propably displaying the Ps2 logo and just some lines
is saw this lots of times on cheap Hk messiahs so i think this is the same story
But it is not a big issue because games run normal as it should

From my experiance with F14+ chips, that happen duo to NOISES/MAGNETIC FIELD on the BIOS WIRES.

I think as mobacom says this from japanese bios because if it will be from NOISES/MAGNETIC FIELD on the BIOS WIRES all 15pcs doing the same installed in different consoles 70006 HK 700004 EUR etc.. maybe the on can be normal.. but it's mor like bios matter..

I have installed mars 805 in V12. Everything seems to be ok. The chip claimed to be "auto detect" booting for all games and dvd's. But I found 2 resets are needed to boot PS1. PS2 and DVD just need one reset. A Good chip, boots everytime, DVD region free, perfect PS2 logo,...

OK So PRO805 is showin good logo ))thats cool I thinsk they will fix this also in MA-705 because 805 Released before 705, and much have different code inside
