Mars II MA-302 and PSX backups –

ok guys
after modding these PS2's with this Mars II chip, they seem to work for a long time now, but i tried a PSX CD-r and it just cant boot it, i tried the other 2 PS2's , and the same.
all 3 cant boot PSX backups, but PS2 backups and PS2 dvds work great, game-chip.com says it has something to do with reset or S point, but i checked those and its fine,
any ideas about what i should do, i reset twice to go to the PSX mode, just as they say in the manual.
but PS2 just see an audio disc.
any help is welcome!
thnx

The Mars reqiures a double reset tap to turn to DVD/PSX mode. The time between the taps should be around 0,5 seconds!
Are you sure youre following the right instructions??

The very important WIRE for psx is the wire labeled as 3.
Check it

What does it mean that "3 is an inportant wire"??!?!?!!??!
Every wire is inportant.... The chip does not work if any of its wires is misspositioned....
The fact that the man's ps2 plays everything but PSX games suggest that either the S (SCEX) wire is not connected, or that he doesnt follow the instructions....
