MagicV 50k - Will it work with a SCPH-50010/N

I've installed a few of the MagicV 50ks into some v9s (50001), but now I've got a couple of people with the SCPH-50010/N PS2 and they're looking to have it modded.

I was just wondering if someone could confirm that the MagicV 50k will work in these units? I'm not sure if these are v10 machines, and whether or not the MagicV 50k chip will work in both the v9 & v10 machines.

magic V 50k only works on V9...for V10 you will need magic V 5k6

These 50010N units I have done so far are v9. A MagicV50k chip will work.

Thanks for the info fellas. I don't mean to be a pain in the ass, but how can you tell the difference between a v9 and a v10? I've read that you can tell by finding out the dvd driver version, but is there an easier why (maybe via the model #)?
