What have the tests proven now that the 3.1 is out?

I have a Magic3 and my results are mixed. I can play Kingdom Hearts fine, but have freezes with GTA Vice City. I don't know if it's the burn or heat or the chip. I am able to play 98% of my DVD-R backups with the Magic3 so will the 3.1 do any better?

Neoasic.com seems to think there is a thermal problem. Others here think that there is a code problem. Still others believe that the chip is stable and the installs are bad. Any other ideas or conclusions?

just install a switch, then the chip should have no thermal problems as it wouldent be receciving the 5v signal after you turn it off, no power, no heat, no freezing.

if you're willing to spend the money for a magic 3.1, and/or dont want to install a switch, it wouldnt take that much to install since the points are already soldered, just the chip's end points need to be de soldered then resoldered onto the new chip
