according to china-magic.com you have to do the same eject-insert disc-eject-tap reset procedure to play any game.
what about messiah 2 ? does it works the same way ? with taps on reset ?

messiah2 have two modes, 1 for ps2 and other for ps1 and movies... I believe magic3 too....
According to the tests, you can eject->insert disc->eject while the ps2 is on, and the game will work. No need to tap reset as in M1.
According to alot of posts I have read about the messiah 2 it boots exactly the way a normal ps2 does. It doesnt seem like you need to press eject or reset a few times to switch modes like the magic 2
That is correct as regards the difference with Magic 2.Originally posted by chulo_d

I have to say the Magic 2 method was no problem to me at least.
Magic2 (and Magic3) boot method It's not a problem to me too, but Messiah 2 is more transparent since you dont need to tap reset and play with the buttons.
With Messiah2 , do you still need to change beetwen ps1 and ps2 modes just like magic2 ? or is it transparent too ?
