Magic3: DVD media stopped working...

Hi!

I've sent a PS2 far away from here, and I tested it before it leaves.

Now the guy is telling me that his DVD media doesn't work, not Movies, neither PS2 games (originals).

Any idea what it can be? I think it's not a "W" loose wire, because then it wouldn't load PS2 CD's...

if ps2 cd work but not dvd then the laser is going.

I forgot to say that it's a brand new 39001 I just bought before sending and it worked perfectly before shipping.

Probably the PS2 got damaged in transit.

i had the same problem with my PS2 39001 with magic 3, i think the chip damaged it. And my ps2 is a brand new too. i bought at last xmas.

It is unheard of that a Magic 3 or similar chip has damaged a PS2.
