I have a v1 JAP scph-10000 console that I've been using for years now with an origachip. The origachip works about 25% of the time, and there are noswap chips now, so I decided to upgrade.
I ended up buying a magic3.1 clone from evolutionmods. Although EVERY other magic3.1 dealer, and china-magic.com say that there is a separate chip for the scph-10000, evolutionmods advertised, and promised me that their chip did indeed work with the 10000. Well, I'm skeptical, but curious, so I got one.
It does not work. It has the exact same layout as the main Magic3.1 chip, which is different than the Magic3.1JP. This is a problem, because the install document for the 10000 calls for me to install points that don't exist on my board!
I wrote evolutionmods, and they claimed they did the 10000 install with an old messiah2 diagram (attached). Once again, there are points on here that don't exist on my chip!
Evolutionmods still claims it works, and even sent me another chip for free in case there was something wrong with mine.
I'm ready to give up, and write off the loss, but I thought I'd bring my plight to you guys first. Do you think there is any chance that it could possible work? I'm curious, and it would be very cool if it worked. I know, I know, you'll probably just tell me to buy a messiah2, but damnit I'm curious!
Plus, if they're just full of shit, others should know, because they blatantly advertise that it DOES work with my model PS2.

Has anyone been able to confirm this?
