This 30001/us/ntsc/datecode 0D/u110 ps2 that I've been working on has a GH-005 board (ver1 is a gh-004, I think). Neo4.1 didn't work because it's got a single NOGAP "010" bios. It DOESN'T have a second set of gap pads. It's not a ver. 1 or 3. Is it a version 2 ps2 or what? Does anyone have ver. 2 install pics ? Has anyone done one of these yet with a magic2 ?
I think I read somewhere that if you use the 9 points on the bios chip (M,N,O,P,Q,T,U,V,R), it doesn't work, or does it ?
If anyone is interested, plz email me (jameso919@yahoo.com) to verify that my gh-005 is or isn't the infamous ver. 2 bd...
GH-005 is a v2. You can get most of the points for Magic 2 from China-Messiah because the CD/DVD COntroller has the same pin configuration across models. Your nearest bet for the BIOS is LOD's famous v1 install described on this forum.
RESET would be as for NEO2.2 (Consolesource.com) as would S (SCEx). That leaves W to find. That'll be the tricky one. Look at Magic 2 V3 diagram and LOD's v1 for the best clue. You might be lucky!
