If I disable the mod chip (holding reset until sound), will it stay disabled even when I turn off the power on the back of the ps2, and turn it back on until i switch modes again or will it turn itself back on when i turn off the ps2 from the back and back on (with the power switch on the back, then the eject button)?

ok i got my magic v installed, i tried playing original ps2 games and they seem to take a few seconds longer to boot, is it supposed to do this?

ps1 backups work fine, havent tried any ps2 backups yet (since i dont have any atm).

I have a V9 and a magic V and i have the same boot delays you do. I am not sure why it does this either.

Ok, got one more question. When I hit reset after playing some games like The Sims Bustin' Out (original) and Capcom Vs SNK2 (cd-r backup) the whole system goes into standy mode instead of the browser and system screen. Is it supposed to do this?

And I am just tapping reset, not holding.
