Magic V install on a V5

I just installed my Magic V into my year-and-a-half old V5. All went well, the points on the back were quite difficult, but I managed. Anyways, threw 'er all back together and put in FFX. Yay! :P It boots. But when i put in a cd-r copy of sunny garcia... Hmm, red screen of death. I tried using both methods to boot it, but no luck. Then I tried out the PSX method, and it booted, but it crashed on the : Playstation ... SCEA screen. And whenever I tried burning a copy of hdloader, that I downloaded, it would only boot using the psx method. and even then, it would show the sony computer entertainment screen, try to read the game, and then just do nothing... Any ideas? Heres the diagram I used for the install.

its' not meant to be booted via psx mode. U need to adjust your lens. or clean it at least. it boots in psx mode cause in psx mode reading is a bitt different

Any good, thorough guides on cleaning/adjusting a v5? the only ones i could find were for a v10/11.. Thanks

Hmm.. no luck. I dropped the CD Pot 150 ohms to 950 ish and still no luck. This is getting really annoying. Anyone wanna take a look at this thing before I buy a new laser? If youll check it out, send me an email at jordan011sk@hotmail.com BTW the copy of sunny garcia I made was created using CloneCD. Could that be the problem? But I also tried burning a couple iso's of hdloader and no luck..

um actually also could be that a-i could be placed wrong after talking to u through msn. Since u havent tried a dvd backup either

Hmm, looks like a trace has been lifted between the B and E points. Anyone wanna fix it or sell me their version 5 motherboard?

if the trace is totally gone meaing the trace that goes under the chip then it's not repairable
