Magic V: alt. 3.3v on a v5/6?

The 3.3v point on the magic v diagrams for ver 5/6 is a VIA point, why not a pad like in DMS3 and Messiah2? What alternate points can i use i was wondering.

Well then, i actually got the orginal point soldered but now i have a new problem.. Any PS2 CD dosent work, that is burned cd games and dvd rips, don have any cd originals thought oddly enough PSX games, burned and original work.
