Hello there.

This weekend a friend of mine installed the Magic V 50K on my PS2 V9.
I tested the PS2 at home and it doesn't want to play either original DVDs nor backup DVDs. It's allways returning to the browser menu.
I read many postings in this about the small VIAS and that they are very small on v9 and v10 ps2s. my friend hated them when he soldered the wires on them. And i read that a possible cause is that a wire (or more) are not 100% connected to the VIA.
Or maybe he 'hurt' them?

OK so my question is: can I (no better he ) remove the wires from the VIAS and solder them directly on the chip and the ps2 lives again? And if it would work - can somebody show me a picture of the chip for my GH-023 mobo? I've seen many pictures and I don't know which of them is my mobo.
