Magic V 50K problem....
Magic V 50K problem.... –

I've tried everything I could think of...Followed the instructions of putting in the game, turning off, and then powering by standby mode with tapping reset, tried just reset, tried to put the game in and load from the browser, and everything says the same exact thing:
"Please insert a playstation or playstation 2 format disc.
I've tried all kinds of media too...Tried Princo dvds, Ritek dvds, even the cd-r's wouldn't boot...everything says the same exact thing...
Hopfully I'm just not doing something...LMK what's wrong if you can....

Same problem here.. I've installed 4 other v9 with Magic 50K and no problems. I know about keeping the wires short and the Magic's sensitivity. I can't get it to boot any backups or ORIGINALS, it keeps saying Insert Playstation disc. When I put the chip to sleep, Originals boot but backups don't. DVD playback is fine too. What the heck is going on? Did I get a faulty chip? Spend 5 hours checking and reinstalling, same result.

After searching the forums, I found that some people put a twisted pair for the R wire. I followed what they did and now the systems works flawlessly.
