Magic V 50K dont work on GH-023 board

Problem is: PS2 games (backups and originals) wont work with Magic V 50K modded board (SCPH50004 PAL). Laser start reading as normally - read disk LeadIn and LeadOut, screen get black, and nothing more - screen stay black, no PS2 logo, disk stay spinnig. Ps1 copys and originals and DVD movies works perfectly. It must be chip problem - same result with 3 chips and 3 consoles. After changing chips with Messiah2 v1.33b all works correctly.

I got a Premodded (50003 PAL) with a magic V 50k. It works fine. Although I dont know if its the same as the 50004.

I`m also never had troubles with Magic V istallation before.

Maybe it was just a dud chip.

well if its booting ps1 backups / originals then obviously your install has to be perfect if no ps2 originals are not working, I blame the install, check and RECHECK the cd/dvd points.

If there is a chip with manufacturing high uality that is MAGIC.
I sold more then 1k pcs of 3.1 300pcs V and no one was dude or bad quality.

Always seek troubles in your installation.

Repeat again: replased with Messiah2 1.33b, used SAME wires (all wires and soldering points checked and rechecked twice and trice) and console works wothout problems. Same mistake cannot be in 3 consoles! I`m not a beginer on chip install!!!

wrap wires Y and R. I still say its your wiring. check the DVD/CD Controller wiring as that is what it sounds like.

MESSIAH 2 uses some other wires that MAGIC V don't how you jsut replaced chips with the same wires?
