Is What I've heard about the Magic 3.5 / 3.6 chips being fake?

or would i just be better off getting the 3.1 and clip for it?

im trying to find out the easiest thing to install into a PS2 without having to do a swap disc

right now you never really know what you're going to get, the 3.1 code was released, so people have it, and had it before it was released publicly, so some 3.5,3.6 makers are using an authentic 3.1 code, others are just making a clipchip that uses a 3.0 code, or whatever they could find that runs on a scenix chip... can always get someone else to install the chip for you
