Magic KX Slim Modchip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I all fired up because i just got a new Ps2 slim and i believe it is V12 (70012).
I was thinking of getting a mod chip for it but i noticed there are some problems with the laser on the ps2.(they burn out)
I read alot about Magic chips on this site but i haven find anything regarding the new Magic KX SLim chip. did any body used that one? if you did please tell me how is it.

and there is another chip that i was thinking of getting before i found the Magix KX slim. It is DMS4/lite/pro.

what is the best chip for the ps2 slim?

I also saw someone's fix but i didn't understand it. I didn't know anything about chip and soldering, even now i still don't know much :banghead:

bottom line, i am not sure which chip to get. DMS4/pro/lite or Magic KX slim chip or some other chips that you have used for long time and didn't have any problems with it.

ugh why dont u read other forums... If you dont want to play online with ur pstwo then get magic V kx with summ0nes fix, Or if u want to play online get matrix infinity with summ0nes fix.. but u also have to patch the back up games with disc ids..
and the summ0ne fix is just adding two Resistors.. 560k ohm res for v12 with 4.7k, or 1.8k res for v 12.1 pstwo with 4.7k .. all u need to know.. and No do not get DMS4 people have too many problems with that chip.. and for my suggestion i think you should get matrix ininity and add a summ0ne fix in it .. hope this helps.

I use the magic kx+ and the DMS4 Lite (not pro), works just fine.
Its all about how you install it if you will get over heating probs or not, we did over 100 dms4 lite units all fine (all 70011 CB model), before switching to the magic kx+ chip.

The Crystal chip would be better than the matrix I, as Matrix I actually provokes mecahcon crashes more than the others.

The important thing is with any fix use the summ0ne fix.
