magic II won't boot PS2 originals (on V5)

I have to hold reset to put the chip in PS1 mode in order to boot PS2 originals :eek:
Any cure for this?

Just a little update.
Not all originals won't boot.
Some boot in PS2 mode, but others need to put the magic II in PS1 mode to boot

Is there some guru around that can help ... please?

You have to hold RESET until the blue light comes on to boot PS1 games. if you then want to boot a PS2 game you have to go to STANDBY first then tap RESET.

PS1 backups and DVD video boot if I hold reset.
PS2 backups CD / DVD boot from standby.
But some originals need that I put the magic II in PS1 mode

Happens always with the same ones.
