Magic 5 vs DMS3v2 –
03-04-2004,01:31 AM
These chips seem to have similar features. Which 1 is the best and why?
I'm new to the mod scene and trying to figure out which 1 is the most stable, reliable, trouble free, for my PS2 v7 station.
This will mostly be used for my originals and backups copies of my games and the odd DVD movie.
Thanks in advance for your honest replies.
Magic V Featureset

1 Single chip support V5-V8 console and all region
Support AR2/GS2 with code and continues CD/DVD (multi disc)
'Sleep' mode to allow your original PS2 games to be played online!

Why did you even post this...DMS3 blows Magic outta the water. I think you know that cause look at all the features you put for DMS3, and how much u put for Magic. If you want the top quailty stuff, DMS3 for sure, but take it to a professional, trust me, its worth the money, becuz I ruined my PS2 trying to install a DMS3. But, if you cant afford it, then go with Magic. Either way, take it to a professional. Also, you can upgrade DMS3, Magic you have to keep taking out as they update with new chips.

My problem is finding an installer in southwestern ontario to install a DMS, they only want to install a magic 5 chip. The installers in Toronto and surrounding area all have mixed reviews on there work it seem's. Basically i'm between a rock and a hard spot-->due i solder it myself(probably cook it) or send it for someone else to cook it?
I'd really like to have the DMSv2 installed on my v7, maybe a decent installer will come forward.
Can you reccomend a decent installer in the windsor, ontario area?
