magic 3 v7 will only boot ps1 backups

checked and rechecked fitted 4 magic chips all with same result no dvd-r will boot please help

I have had many problems like this with magics... It must be the undocumented feature named "Mood"

I've had mixed solutions..

a) Check "A" wire -> DVD Booting
b) Check "W" wire -> Detect media / Try "W1"
c) Change Magic. Sometimes a Magic3 don't like a V4, but it works fine on a V6... That's the "Mood" point

But, if you have 4 chips that don't like the same PS2 version, then I'd try options a) and b)

If everithing fails, maybe you'll need the azimuth fix.
