Magic 3 V7 not spinning anymore

Hello
i have installed a magic 3 on a ps2 v7 39003.
now when i give power to the ps2 the red standby led is on. when i press the power button the ps2 goes on but it is ejecting the tray out. the cd rom (how you call it) it does not spin. just ejecting the tray out. i have unistalled the chip now but the results are the same.

what do i must do?
please help

i have the same problem with v4 ntsc !
i thing the laser is gone and i didn't find any post here about the problem ??
btw is your eject light flashing??????
at the begining i had no video or audio but after i clean around b & c points the video and the audio is back , but i still have the tray problem . press on reset button the eject light begin to flah and the tray goes out and that it! so spin at all even not 1/4 turn

i checked it allready ,
there is no mod in the con i removed it after i got black screen
it's not the a-i point

Check all over the board for solder splashes.
Also, try to move the ribbons that connect to the dvd drive.
Maybe u stressed one of them and u got a bad contact.
If u have the opportunity, try with another dvd drive.

I suggest trying a replacement cable to the DVD drive, if everything is powering up fine but the DVD drive is not spinning, than most likely the DVD drive isn't being given the signal to spin by the mainboard because the ribbon cable is damaged.
