magic 3 in jap 10000

I have a magic 3 for the jap 10000 ps2 and when I install it I turn on the ps2 and get a blck screen, however when I disconnect the power wire from the chip, the ps2 boots normally, I then installed a swith on the line and still have the same problem either if the switch is on or off, could it be cause it might be connected to a bad power spot, should I try another spot for the power?

5 volts for power, any spot should work fine.. maybe its your wiring..

fixed it, donna what happened but I resoldered the power and all is fine.

you actually got a magic 3 to work on a 10k? bullshit, I say, been there, tried that, only the dms3 and m2pro are known to work on 10k's, and at that, the dms3 only the v1.6 flash works, those are rediculous to mod. I gave up, and my solution was a bit extreme, but it involved no modding..............

I tell no lies, someone from Hawaii sent it ot get modded and it was not hard at all, i put a switch and all. it played all mu backups too

oh, they did'nt mention a yellow one .... I went through hell with a red one, and even a dms3, which to my horror, I had to unsolder and reinstall in my old us-c version 5, just to flash the thing, one for every version, EXCEPT (found out after) the 1.6, the only one I did'nt have, and the only one that would have worked, if not for the trace I fried on the board on the 5th time I re-did the thing just to flash it. Screw SCPH10000's, they are'nt worth the b.s., I got the DTL-H10000S (I have 2 of those, and a us-c one, too) debugging console that plays original masterdiscs on dvd-r, as is, that works for me.
