I've a chip has been installed to a v3 before, first test on v3, but not working, reinstall and I messed up the v3 PS2 so I desoldered it from the v3, I'm not sure the chip is working or faulty.

I installed this chip to a V7, mounted it to the big space on the right, used very long wire for each connection. after the install done, test it, not working again, only acted like a unmodded PS2(Plays originals fine). I've checked every connection, and I'm pretty sure the connections are very good. twice not working, so I think I got a faulty chip.

I was in hurry, not too much time. so I'm not bother to reinstall the chip again in the v7. I put a new chip and mounted the chip onto the space exactly the diagram on China-Magic.com shows. it make the wires a lot more shorter, now works on all backups.

Used big wire for power and GND, 30awg for all other connections. I just wondering if the wires length be the matter? shorter the better?

First time, I placed the chip on the big space other end, the wires too long, it didn't work. then I placed the chip to the place where CHina-Magic.com's diagram shows, then it work(same Place as your pic)...

is it the problem with the wires? too long for Power and GND? because first installation the PS2 acted like an unmodded console, play all originals fine but not backups.
