If I wanted to upgrade my magic 2 to a magic 3 at some point, does it use the same connection points, making it a nice simple upgrade, or do the PS2 board connection points need changing?
Thanks.

It is the same points except the is only 1 power source 5v instead of 2 and point (F) is no longer needed. I did a test on a v3 PS2 with the Magic 3 it worked but the PS2 I was testing it in has a crappy laser. So the results are not conculsive yet. But it does look good the only benift I would think is the compatibilty of this chip. Yet to be tested on a 010 bios.
isn't there a clock wire now too, or is that only the messiah? Figured they are probably similar design.
