Magic 3 Freezing Problem

My Magic 3 V7 USA console freezes after every hour or so of playtime. Does anyone else experience this problem? This happens most often with Kingdom Hearts (DVD-R version) and GTA:Vice City (real version). It also sometimes happen with CD-R games too. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks

PS. Should I switch out this chip for another one (Apple V7)? Will this damage my PS2?

Kingdom hearts and vice city are known to have this problem. I haven't experienced it on my v7 with vice city but have seen it with kingdom hearts. I haven't experineced it with any other games (I play 4-5 hours of madden 2003 every day lol).

Try booting using the PS1 method (start in STANDBY (RED LIGHT) with disc already inserted, hold RESET until the BLUE light comes on the EJECT button then let go) - it should boot - I don't know if it's luck or what but Kingdom Hearts and GTA VC will not lock when I boot this way - so far.. Please give this a try and post results.

Again, I don't think that this is a valid solution, because it only works with the original game....

You are correct sir. I have only tested this using Original store bought copies of KH and GTA VC. Why do people still refuse to believe the damn chip is interfering with normal operation of these 2 games???
