I was just wondering if the Magic 3 can play DVD+Rs. Reason being I recently burned one and it doesn't seem to be working. Before creating some more expensive coasters, I was wondering if it's an issue with DVD+R?

It could just be your laser dying out. I would check your laser.
It plays CD-Rs and retail PS2 DVDs. How would I check my laser to be sure?Originally Posted by messiahfan2003
not all ps2 can read dvd+r media
It's a v7 SCPH-39001.
That version sould be fine for +R but dont use cheap media, mine takes TDK Memorex and sony, I would also suspect the laser if your confident about media quality. Trying good media is alot easier than replacing the laser.
They are Memorex DVD+R which would be the same kind you use.
