Magic 3.6 Question

I just tried to install a magic 3.6 chip, but i could not figure out how to get the piece that looks like an "L" to stick to the motherboard. do i have to clip it or solder it? thank you in advance.

Pre flux the BGA board (The (L) looking thing and the PS2 mainboard tape in place then solder
