Magic 3.1+ on V7 failed install?

I soldered everything up and double and triple checked it and figgured it was perfect, so I closed it up and tried it out. Nothing. So when i opened it back up, it looked as though the PWR line got disconnected. I tried to resolder it, and when I did, I ended up knocking the little brown thing that it had to solder to off, and I cant find where it went. I tried bridging the point and testing the console, but I only get a blue light for about 1/2 a second then it goes out. If i boot by holding the eject button, the tray FIRES out and will not go back in. Help!

http://www.mod-chip.com/images/magic3.1+_v7_v8.jpg was the diagram he used. I'd remove everything off the board and test then get a replacement part

it's a 4.7mf cap

I tried replacing it with a 4.7 microfarad cap and I still get the no blue light thing, so I'm gonna just buy a new motherboard

What about checking your BA ? As the tray came out so fast, it is possible that you killed the BA. Also as you got no blue light, this is a very cammon syndrome of the dead BA5815 IC. Anyway, why the hell did you use that point for power ? Those SMD capacitors are so easy to damage. If you need that point there is a fuse above that, much bigger and easier to solder to. But sure none of these would have been that point I had soldered to, there are several better alternative PWR soldering points...
