Magic 3.1 Red bug with 010 BIOS!

Well,

We finally got our first batch of authentic Magic 3.1 Reds in. Popped it in a 010 no-gap BIOS. Here are the results.

Boots all as advertised, PS2 CDR, DVDR and blue and silver bottoms. However, the bug is that the logo is highlighted on boot just like the Apple chip!

We have only been able to test an 010 so we are unsure if this problem is on the other versions as well.

I get the software terminated message when booting the original Dino Crisis with mod detection.

Update 2: It does not work with DVD9 on a 010 BIOS unit. I replaced the laser with a fully working one and got 1 successful boot out of 20+ tries. Hopefully this is only with the 010??

hmmm, the code hasn't changed since the blue ones, possibly bad chips? I ordered a red 3.1 from rewen, getting installed by Bill from New Age PSX right now, hopefully no DVD9 problems. Since I have no DVD9 games I will be unable to verify that.

Have you tried booting DVD9 behing the Lameshark? People have reported that it boots 100% of the time behind the GS2. (Same with apple)
