Magic 3.1 question-Please help

Hi

I have a previous post but not much help, My reset button doesn't function and it isn't the ribbon. I have been checking each wire with a ohmeter, I check the wire from the board to the chip and also from the spot where the wire csolders to the chip to the corresponding pin on the bios chip on the magic3, They all work except from the part of the chip where you solder your wire on the reset to the pin on the bios chip. Does that mean my chip was defective or did the resistor get to much heat(I don;t think taht happened but just asking)

I put an ohmeter on the side where the wire goes and on the corresponding pin, also should i get a reading from one side of the white resistor to the other??
