Magic 3.1 playing mod protected games?!

For some odd reason, my ps2 is direct booting a copy of DDR 4th Mix, a game that is known in many cases to have mod protection on it. Any ideas why this could be? A real nice plus, just wondering why its happening and if anyone else is having the same results on a Magic 3.1 or a Messiah 2.

Either it has otr it hasn't. I presume you have a copy that hasn't. What do you think?

Try a copy of Legend of Dragoon. It's a PS1 Anti-mod game that's gives me the anti-mod screen on my Messiah 2 (unless I disable the chip).

I dunno, there are anti-mod removal codes for DDR 4th Mix all over DDR forums, so I am fairly certain they do have protection
