    i have a friend with a couple of Magic 3.1
    it looks like the authentic one except the black chip does not say v1-v7

    does anyone know if this is a clone or not?

    Yeah, you should stay away from Magic modchip unless you wanna be a moron like me having a Magic3.0 PS2 that freezes from time to time.
